MOBY DICK
The collective imagination created a monstrous being of the seas, a huge white Leviathan. Herman Melville gave him its name, Moby Dick.
This ceramic was modeled by me, but it was the salt and water of the Atlantic itself that would bathe it in white.
After being submerged in water for 3 months, the salt crystallized in the mud itself and completely covered the entire surface, creating a white whale; this time not by the human imagination but by the very materiality of the sea and nature.
